HAA-SPONSORED EVENTS
HINGHAM HIGH ARTS PATHWAY PROGRAM
The Hingham Arts Alliance is proud to provide funding for the Arts Pathway Program at Hingham High. Launched as a pilot program in September 2023, the Pathway applies a community-based approach to help Hingham High students cultivate a passion and appreciation for the Fine and Performing Arts. Through professional and school art events, community building, mentorship, coursework, and career-oriented opportunities, students will develop skills that will enable them to grow enthusiasm for the arts in High School and beyond. Students who complete the Arts Pathway Program will receive a certificate that reflects significant study in the arts on their final transcript. Interested students should reach out to Ms. Bellis, Ms. Papuga, or Mr. Cincotta.
Our first ever Arts in Action: College and Career panel discussion was a hit!
Our panel of HHS young alumni who are studying or working in arts had fantastic advice for HHS students looking to continue their creative lives after graduation. Thank you Ally Donnelly for moderating this not-to-be missed discussion!
HINGHAM HIGH ART CLUB
The talented students of the Hingham High Art Club brightened the walls of their school with this cheerful mural, sponsored by the HAA.
The HAA supported the Hingham Middle School’s Cultural Enrichment committee’s energetic and educational assembly, “The History of Hip Hop” featuring Illstyle and Peace Productions. Illstyle and Peace Productions is a multicultural dance company whose work uses the movement and spirit of Hip Hop to deliver a positive message of individual expression.
The HAA collaborated with the PTOs of East, Foster, Plymouth River and South Schools to bring theater to some of our youngest learners. An enthusiastic audience of KIA and kindergarten students from all four elementary schools was treated to Theater Works USA’s performance of The Pout Pout Fish, a story about happiness and the role of purpose in making a life meaningful.
HINGHAM ARTS WALK 2023
Hingham’s got talent! The Hingham Arts Alliance brought music, dance, and theater to the streets of Hingham at the Downtown Association's Annual Arts Walk. Thank you to the Hingham High Drama Club, Missy’s Movement, Commonwealth Music, Jessie Stiglich School of Music, Spotlight Music and Theatre Company, Hingham High Drama, and Ed Sorrentino and The South Shore Conservatory for a truly feel-good afternoon!
HAA AT THE HINGHAM HARBOR CELEBRATION

HINGHAM 4TH OF JULY PARADE
The Hingham 4th of July Parade is a treasured town celebration, and for the second year in a row, the HAA made sure our Arts Community was part of the tradition. This year, our “Most Unique” prize-winning float featured the cast of Kids Cabaret’s Wizard of Oz. Check us out around minute 23:00 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-q6G9-Zi0Hc and keep an eye out for our 2024 float to see who we feature next!
HAA was thrilled to fund a musical celebration of Black culture at Hingham Unity Council’s Juneteenth event on Hingham Harbor.
Hingham Arts Alliance sponsored a unique experience for a group of Ms. Rose Papuga's Ceramics Students. The class visited the home studio of Hingham Artist Don Whitney to participate in a Raku firing. Senior Julia O'Dwyer describes the process as well as the camaraderie that developed by the students over the course of the afternoon.
HAA and the HUC teamed up with the HDA to bring performing arts front and center at the October 2022 Hingham Arts Walk.
